“So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Mark 11:24

Testing God's goodness

We often do not encourage ourselves to discover all the good that God can do. We are afraid to ask for things in prayer because we do not trust that His love is infinite and we have our own reservations about it. "What if I ask the Lord for this and then something worse happens instead?" May be one of the thoughts that we may have when we desire something from our God. A show of trust may make us think that we are in debted to our Father or that we should do a certain task in order to earn His love.

We do not have to experience our relationship with God as if it were an exchange, but rather, we should think about our bond as a way of elevating ourselves. Our Father assumed the responsibility of taking care of us and of watching over our well-being as children, and we will be faithful and devout. Test your true bond with the Lord, see His benevolence and solidarity, His kindness and temperance. Our prayer requests will be answered, either today or in the future, as long as we trust in it. God will reward us in the best way possible, giving us peace and joy whenever we need it. Our Lord listens to what we ask of Him in our divine conversation, and He will embrace us with His word and His counsel.
