"And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit."

2 Corinthians 3:18

Change

I was already used to doing things in a certain way and nothing was coming from my position, but I soon began to isolate myself. I was skewed by my ideas and was unable to see that I was making a mistake. My friends no longer were coming by to see me and I began to get depressed. I knew that I was the only one who could change my demeanor, I had been irreverent and disrespectful to their advice. I thought I knew the absolute truth of things and I was wrong. They just tried to help me and I pushed them away.

It is never too late to recognize you are wrong and ask for forgiveness. Thanks to having found God in my heart, I was able to recover my confidence and get closer to those I had offended when I was being a fool. We must often question what we have learned and our way of seeing reality in order to understand the views of our brethren. There is only one absolute truth and it is God's. There should be no differing thoughts about it, but we must live with the differences in our opinions and remain united with one purpose: to praise and love our Heavenly Father. Goodness and humility in our thoughts will make us better people, compassionate Christians, and friends in communion.
