“Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.”

Proverbs 16:8

Conscience and satisfaction

It is important for our personal growth to have dreams, ambitions that serve to keep us moving, to advance towards our objectives. The worthy effort that we dedicate to these projects must come from humility, from a conscience that will keep us from becoming greedy.

We must always keep in mind that we must make use of material things but without being presumptuous nor greedy. When that "healthy ambition" that keeps us advancing becomes tainted with greed, the limits become skewed and we move in a cycle of dissatisfaction where we only want more. God the Father abhors greed, because it leads to unjust situations, to subject others and ourselves. In the meantime we must be humble and value what surrounds us and nurtures us, live and move forward being faithful to our dreams but always from humility and justice.
