Verses to Recognize the Transformations God Produces in Us

Throughout our existence, we will face several problems that will generate doubts and uncertainty. We may feel overwhelmed by our failures or by harmful habits that we incorporate almost without realizing it and that distance us from the Grace of the Lord.

But is it possible to make a deep, true, and authentic change in our lives?

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

The Lord shows us His Faithfulness constantly through His Grace and He does it selflessly, with the most absolute Love, without judging or retaliating.

He is always willing to listen to us, attending to our demands, and supporting us in the most adverse episodes that we have to go through. When we notice that the direction of our lives is misdirected, when we are ashamed of any of our actions, when we incorporate negative habits and attitudes that harm and distress our environment, we must sustain ourselves in our Faith to receive the Grace of the Highest. It is precisely in His Glory that we can change and transform ourselves into what He has called us to be. By acknowledging our failures and exposing them sincerely before God, we are taking a first and fundamental step.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

We must allow the Lord's will to work in our hearts. This requires that we are determined to receive Christ into our lives. When we feel that we are not comfortable with the decisions or the directions we are taking and we have the impression that something does not fit in our existence, provoking in us harmful feelings such as anger, selfishness, and self-sufficiency; we will know that it is time to cultivate our Gift of Humility and Repentance to approach without fear the Perfect Mercy of the Eternal.

The transformation must be deep and sincere within us and in our fluid dialogue with God in order to find that indispensable reparative help that will indicate what our Father expects from us according to His purpose. Christ reveals what truly lies in our Spirit while making us aware of the changes we must make in order to fulfill His will.

“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5

It is very important to remove the feelings of fear that can interfere in our relationship with the Lord. That fear can lead us not to be completely sincere, to tell only part of what happens to us, to hide what we are ashamed of. Let us bear in mind that God accepts us as we are and in the naturalness of our relationship with Him, we gradually heal our wounds, lighten our burdens, and free ourselves from bad thoughts.

This wonderful process turns us into better persons renewed in the Faith in Christ, positive and active beings in the Work of the Messiah, with a clear and pure objective that is to walk the paths that He has designed for us.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

We must trust in the unconditional Love of God that answers each plea. Let us attend with Faith to this call of Love to grow and transform ourselves into Him. We can always count on His Perfect Guide and sweet Mercy.

Once we have been touched by the Grace of the Lord, we are no longer the same.

Let us live in gratitude to The Eternal for He has saved us.
