The Miracle of Teaching to Pray

If we succeed in transmitting the values and fundamental pillars of life, we will be able to deeply reach the Holy Spirit. Discover in the following article how to move forward on the path of heavenly enlightenment.

"We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life." Matthew 20:18-19

Prayer also helps us maintain a closer connection with our heavenly Father. By dedicating time to prayer, we are demonstrating our faith and trust in Him, which allows us to grow spiritually and draw closer to Him.

Prayer also allows us to ask forgiveness for our sins and to ask for the strength to move forward and become better people.

There is no single way to pray, each person can pray in the way that is most comfortable for him or her and that allows him or her to connect better with God.

"Rejoice always, pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Some people prefer to do it in the privacy of their bedroom, others in a church or temple, and others prefer to do it in the middle of nature. The important thing is to find a place and time where we feel comfortable and can concentrate on prayer.

Family prayer is also very important. When we pray as a family, we are strengthening family ties and at the same time strengthening our faith. It is a way to share our concerns and ask each other for help, and also to give thanks together for the blessings we have received.

Any time of the week creates a special space for family prayer and reflection. Thinking about the Holy Week that nourishes us with teachings and reminds us of a time of sacrifice that Jesus made for us and to give thanks for his unconditional love.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

It is also a time to reflect on our own lives and ask forgiveness for our sins. Holy Week is a time to draw closer to God and to renew our faith in Him.

We can take time to reflect on our lives and make an examination of conscience. We can pray as a family, meditate on the Passion and Death of Jesus, and ask forgiveness for our sins. We can also make sacrifices, such as abstaining from meat during Lent, to show our devotion to God.

Prayer not only helps us in difficult times, but also allows us to enjoy moments of joy and to thank God for the blessings we have received. In our daily life, it is important to pause and dedicate some time to prayer, so that we can stay connected to God and feel His love and protection at all times.

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." Matthew 6:6

Being able to approach the new generations by giving them some indications or telling them in some scenarios where prayer turned out to be a powerful tool that helped us to stay connected with God and to receive His guidance and protection at all times will allow us to incorporate the values of Faith to the little ones.

It is important to make prayer a daily routine and dedicate time to it, both alone and as a family. During this Holy Week, we can take the opportunity to strengthen our faith and get closer to God through prayer and reflection as a family. Let us remember that prayer gives us confidence, brings us peace and allows us to live according to God's will.
