The Resurrection of Jesus

“For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died.” Thesalonians 4:14

The Resurrection of Christ is not only concerning the person and work of Jesus, it is an act of universal concern that covers all human history and the destiny of every human being, which intimately reaches man's existence and changes it.

The multiplying of loaves and fishes

“One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, 'There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish. But what are they among so many people?' ” John 6:8-9 

In the miracle of multiplying the loaves and fishes, Jesus satisfies the needs of humans: the material in order to live here and the spiritual in order to live in eternity.

When looking at this scene one can learn to be moved by the needs of others. Love multiplies itself and always remains: it satisfies without running out.

Conversion of water into wine (The wedding at Cana)

“Now standing there were six stone water jars for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.” John 2:6

This is where Jesus began His miracles.

At a wedding in Cana in Galilee, among the attendees were His disciples and His mother Mary. At one point the wine was scarce and Mary asked Jesus for help. He ordered the servants to fill six stone jars with water. Which were destined to be purified, but once they checked the content, the water had turned into a wine of great quality.

The Resurrection of Lazarus

“So they took away the stone. And Jesus looked upward and said, 'Father, I thank you for having heard me.' ” John 11:41

This beautiful miracle that the Lord has blessed us with, is about the resurrection of Lazarus of Bethany, a friend of Jesus Christ. Jesus repeatedly visited Lazaro's house, where the story takes place, along with Maria and Martha.

 On the last of these visits, Jesus arrives when Lazarus is already dead and buried. Jesus opens the tomb, and at His command, Lazarus is resurrected.
