The Inner Truth

If we can connect with that overcoming look and express what we really feel, we will be closer and closer to healing. In the following article we will explore ways to connect with your inner self.

"Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?" Luke 9:23-25

The depth of our inner being and our spirituality reveals unbreakable bonds with the divine. In the course of this analysis, we will explore various ways to connect with the Lord, diving into the very essence of spiritual connection.

As we turn in times of distress to the heavenly Father, we find refuge in his attentive listening, protection and guidance. Prayer, as a direct bridge to God, is the means to lift our gaze to the heavenly and open ourselves to his voice. Nothing should compete with the time dedicated to raising our gaze to the Lord.

To reserve a daily space in solitude, allowing our gaze to dive deeply and seek help and shelter in God.

For in his words is reflected the promise: ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find. But our Father never intervenes in our lives without being summoned. Even when our faith is dim and the night is dark, his presence accompanies us, waiting for our words, which will always receive an answer.

"Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may prosper in everything you do." Deuteronomy 29:9

Just as we attend to the needs of our children, our divine Father is always present to care for his children. As we talk to the Lord, we express our difficulties, pains and joys. He hears us and responds. His presence is clearly and firmly manifested in our lives, because He is our Father, and He loves us beyond anything.

Each of us knows the challenges we face and the battles we have to fight. But the greatest challenge to being better people and witnesses to the Kingdom of God lies in overcoming one's own internal struggles, rather than in fighting sometimes meaningless battles.

The real challenge lies in our character and our weaknesses. Impatience, intolerance, lack of empathy or excessive ego are characteristics that distance us from the mission entrusted to us by our Father.

"Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city." Proverbs 16:32

Often, we avoid this challenge, justifying ourselves with the idea that there are more urgent tasks in our day to day lives, opting to reform the world instead of transforming ourselves. However, we forget that each of us contributes to the creation of the world and that it is our small actions towards our brothers and sisters that bring about the real revolution towards peace.

The words of our Lord warn us that there are no easy ways to improve, to overcome difficulties and to live according to the Word of God. This journey demands commitment and effort, challenging us with difficult decisions that require us to renounce comfort and ephemeral pleasures.

The path to truth is fraught with challenges, but it leads to life. Whereas the easy path, sooner or later, leads to destruction. Therefore, it is vital to be alert and clear about our direction and the way we move forward in life. To walk together with our brothers and sisters, always imploring divine protection in our journey.

"Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7: 9-12

The connection with the divine is strengthened through daily dedication, setting aside times for prayer and reflection, thus cultivating a deeper connection with the Lord. By beginning and ending each day with this practice, we nourish our inner being, find comfort in the midst of adversity and align ourselves with the divine light that guides our path.

Therefore, every spiritual seeker is invited to dedicate at least a few minutes daily to this prayer, creating a sacred space to dialogue with God, listen to His voice and receive His guidance. This simple act of daily devotion not only strengthens the personal relationship with the divine, but also transforms our existence, offering inner peace and wisdom to face daily challenges.

May this practice of daily prayer be a beacon of hope, a refuge in times of uncertainty and a path to spiritual enlightenment, allowing us to walk in harmony with the divine will every day of our lives.
