We wonder when we will be able to find a little peace in the midst of this maelstrom. The demands of everyday life subject us to physical and mental exhaustion that, over time, can trigger anxiety and depression. At times like these, it is crucial to open our hearts to God.

Let us take advantage of those sleepless nights to engage in a deep dialogue with the Lord and find in His wisdom the rest we so desperately need. The reasons for feeling overwhelmed are many and varied: long working hours, domestic responsibilities, caring for sick loved ones, the pressure of academic exams, financial problems or job uncertainty. All of these situations make us feel like we are losing control of our lives.

If we wish to regain our spiritual peace, both our own and that of our loved ones, we must stop and seek rest in the Lord's grace and mercy to face each day with renewed strength. How can we not feel comforted if our strength comes from our Heavenly Father? When the mind finds no rest, thoughts are likely to become turbulent as we obsess over problems and possible solutions. We become anxious not knowing what the future holds, and we get caught in a whirlwind of imaginary scenarios.

But by understanding that God is sovereign over our circumstances and is present in every aspect of our lives, we can find rest and solve our problems in a real and concrete way. Let us always remember that in Jesus we are called to slow down, not to succumb to the frenetic pace imposed by modern society.

In many households, women play a multifaceted role: they are mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends. Her ability to provide comfort, guidance and support is invaluable.
