The 5 most common reasons why people turn away from God

There is no such concept as that of serving Christ to measure, remember that doing His will is among the basic principles. Determine where you are today with this list of reasons.

I have no time.

“Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.” Isaiah 40:2

Prioritizing the use of our time seems to be a difficult task for some, which is why we often hear phrases such as "I don't have time for God" or "at this moment I am too busy to pray. What these people do not know is that by dedicating time to Christ, all these problems will disappear.

I tried but it didn't work

"He who says that he abides in Him must walk as He walked." John 2:6

Almost as if it were a medicine, there are people who make that excuse when the reality is that they only attended the temple once or simply said a prayer. Remember that patience is the key to start seeing the results we intend to see.

I serve God but in my own way

For I have chosen him so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” Genesis 18:19

This I think is the most generic excuse that exists, since it serves any possible scenario. The pretext of serving Christ to the measure of each one does not express anything other than the convenience of connecting with our Father when we feel like it and in the way we want, not committing ourselves to the cause and only officiating as a spectator. Remember that God is served only in one way: doing His will.

I need a break

“Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave.” Exodus 18:20

There is also that other type of people who find it strenuous to serve God, but in this case, the important thing is how they see Christ. The secret is that we who follow God's path do it out of conviction and out of love for Him, that's why we don't live it as a burden and that, therefore, we never need a rest.

A lot of pressure

“This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” Isaiah 48:17

In accordance with the previous point, we can also hear another excuse such as being under a lot of pressure to praise or glorify God. Those of us who consider ourselves worthy of His children, do such things and consecrate our lives to Him for the simple fact that in that way we are born to do so and we cannot conceive our life away from the Blessed Father, since that way we would feel lost and aimlessly.
