We all have a friend or acquaintance who denies God and no matter how much we try they do not want to hear about Him. I believe that the first way to bring them closer to Christ is to keep from pressuring them. Their approach must be spontaneous, and what better way to do it than to show them the joy that God's children experience under His protection.

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” Psalms 90:2

Let them know that they are not alone, that with God - which also means with all His sons and daughters - they will have access to feel unlimited love, while also accompanied and filled with solutions that God the Father offers us. He is the key to understanding that they will never feel lonely again and that their problems will be everyone's problems.

“Then God said, 'Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.' ” Genesis 1:26

Make them see that the path they chose will not lead them to a safe harbour. But it is important not to address this issue by pointing out that all their choices have been wrong, but rather, by making those choices after meditating on Christ, they will experience an increase in spirit that will give them the clarity their heart needs in order to choose another path, God's path.

“ I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I display my holiness before their eyes.” Ezekiel 36:23

Let them share in your activities. Include them in your circle of friends, that they may experience the dynamic of living surrounded by love and the joy of serving God and being called His worthy children. I am convinced that when they attend the church meetings and experience the joy of having God as a friend, they will come running to tell you that they also want to be part of it all.
