Take Back Happiness: Key Moments for Learning

If we feel that we have not been happy for a long time, we must begin to change our attitude right now. In the next article we will be looking at ways to learn how to be happy again.

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children” Romans 8:16

How much longer are we going to complain about situations that do not allow us to move forward and fulfill our destiny in life? Do we have to go to the depths of our being to take the final push and make the great leap? The clarity that Jesus Christ had to make the Divine sacrifice should serve us as an example for all the areas of our life in which we find ourselves lost or stuck. God guided him to give us eternal life as his children.

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.” 2 Peter 1:5-7

In that whirlwind of fog called "fear", lies one of our greatest enemies. Our thoughts and our heart cease to have clarity about what surrounds us. From what we feel to what we think, the lack of clarity translates into inaction and emotional isolation.

Often times, wanting to look for solutions, we make certain decisions that turn into bigger problems. It is easy to turn to the vice of loneliness or alcohol. They are more smokescreens that cause us to become entrenched in the depths of our being. The darkness and the temptation to go on indefinitely without taking control make us reach the limit of our thinking. Feeling lost is the least of our problems. We begin to hurt the people who try to help us, to evade their offer of help. It is at times like these that we must keep in mind that God is always present and will let us lose control.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it” 1 Corinthians 10:13

We must be able to open ourselves and accept help even in the worst moments in which we find ourselves. All the errors and mistakes that come our way will be forgiven by our Heavenly Father. Let us remember that Jesus is always there to be benevolent and heal our wounds. Without needing to listen to people who do not recognize his actions and miracles. Without letting ourselves be influenced by those who do not feel accompanied or do not even know the life story of our Savior and the reason for his sacrifice. We must never forget that it is useless to follow the path of evil, to keep ourselves in the darkness of fear and questioning. The security of certainties, the proofs of love and faith are enough to trust in the Holy Spirit and place our hearts in Him.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

May Faith be the reflection of your actions as it will be the cornerstone from which we can support all our thoughts and decisions to be taken in the future. To advance and grow. Make mistakes by doing and learning. It is useless to remain in the eternal uncertainty that no story can tell. Has there ever been learning without sacrifice and pain?
