Saving that Place Inside

Learning to feel hope and faith from a more concrete and real place. Discover in the following article the necessary foundations to move forward on the path of light.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

We always seek a deeper connection with God and with our inner spirit.

One way we can find this connection is through the use of metaphors and analogies in our faith and our relationship with God. One of these metaphors is that of the candle.

The candle is a symbol of light and hope. By lighting a candle, we place our faith in that its light will bring comfort and healing to our problems. But, like the candle, our life is temporary. The candle will burn out and extinguish, and we must ask ourselves if we have taken advantage of its light to reconnect with God and with ourselves.

"From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth— he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do." Psalm 33:13-15

Another important metaphor is that of the door. A door can represent an opportunity for change or to enter a new place, whether physical or spiritual. But it's also important to consider what we do once we enter that place. Do we stay there or go back?

Faith should not be seen as an obligation or a merit, but as an opportunity to draw closer to God and enrich our lives. It's not about counting how many hours we spend in church or praying, but about staying on the Lord's path and experiencing his greatness and glory.

Entering the kingdom of God is lifting ourselves to infinite levels in our faith, inner growth and trust in the action and sacrifice of Jesus. His presence gives us calm to face daily challenges and enlightens our hearts.

"In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name." Psalm 33:21

Grateful and understanding of others is recognizing the work of God and allows us to enter the gates of Heaven with gratitude.

These daily reminders of faith is a continuous path towards God, in which we must take every opportunity to connect with him and ourselves, and be aware of our actions once we enter that path.

The importance of recognizing and taking advantage of the opportunities that arise in our daily lives to connect with God and ourselves, through the use of metaphors and analogies, is essential for moving forward on the path of light. Trusting in the action and sacrifice of Jesus, and remembering that we are temporary beings, will bring peace and healing to our hearts and minds.

"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16

Instead of repressing our feelings, we must learn to accept them and understand that they are transitory. God understands the difficulties we go through and has a plan for each of them. Through trust in the Holy Spirit, we can find comfort and healing in our times of sadness and distress.

Prayer is also a powerful tool for dealing with our negative feelings. By turning our worries and burdens over to God, we can receive the light and peace of the Holy Spirit into our hearts. Furthermore, by trusting God, we can overcome our fears and melancholy and face problems with a different perspective.
