Positive Attitude and Feelings of Love

Maintaining hope will allow us to attract blessings and positive thoughts. Explore the following article and begin to feel the love of the Lord in your inner being.

"Blessed is the one Who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night!" Psalm 1:1-2

If we can keep our hope burning, the flame of our Heavenly Father will help us to remain rooted in Christ.

The love of God, like any meaningful relationship, requires cultivation to maintain its vitality. Therefore, to remain unshakable in the Lord, we must nurture our love for Him, who is not only our Redeemer, but also our direct link to the heavenly Father.

The purpose of Christ's coming into the world was to become our main source of motivation to remain steadfast in the Lord. Jesus Christ represents the supreme legacy and God's greatest gift to mankind.

However, our responsibility lies in clinging to His love, dedicating our existence to Him, taking His mighty hand and being faithful to His Word.

"For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him." Genesis 18:19

Within the context of true love, faithfulness is a fundamental and indispensable pillar. It is not simply a matter of remaining faithful in a couple's relationship, since the love we profess for Christ transcends any other earthly bond.

Therefore, it is imperative that we remain rooted in the Lord and be loyal to Him, giving ourselves completely to Him and spreading His word throughout the world.

"And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?" Deuteronomy 10:12-13

Often, we aspire to live as true children of God and long for a full and enriching spiritual life. However, we are reluctant to look away from the temptations and distractions that the world offers us, seducing us with its ephemeral beauty. We cling to earthly things while God urges us to be faithful and give ourselves completely to Him.

Love of self is a concept that, far from being associated with selfishness, represents one of God's commandments.

It has a clear dual purpose: on the one hand, it provides us with a shield to defend ourselves from injustices and aggressions, both verbal and physical, coming from those who have not yet understood love; on the other hand, it enables us to love unconditionally our loved ones and our neighbor in general.

"But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread." Job 23:10-12

On multiple occasions, we have heard in various areas of our lives advice urging people to love themselves. This seemingly noble advice seeks to create an awareness of the importance of our own worth. It alerts us to the need not to neglect our self-esteem, especially when we tend to be more concerned about the welfare of others than our own.

As children of God, we are called to value and be grateful for the twofold work He has done in us. This work is reflected in our creation in His image and in our redemption through Christ's supreme sacrifice.

Our dignity comes from this divine action: we were created in His image and redeemed by His unconditional love. In gratitude to God, we must love ourselves as He loves us.
