Overcoming Critical Moments

Learn to strengthen your spirit and to rely on those people and pillars that are fundamental to move forward.

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalms 9:9-10

The difficult times we are going through fill us with anguish and worry. It is not only the fear generated by pests but also the problems that arise in our homes as a result of the mandatory quarantine.

Society has become aware of the importance of isolating itself to combat the coronavirus, but this practice is not exempt from the appearance of conflicts and it may happen that, as the days go by, we find ourselves overwhelmed and without the strength to face the circumstances.

The important thing, in these cases, is not to panic and not to allow evil thoughts to take hold of our hearts.

The Love of Christ is powerful and it is up to us to reinforce our Commitment to approach without fear and nourish ourselves with His Faith.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and hlp you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

The flood of complications can overwhelm us and one of the sensations that can appear strongly is the feeling of loneliness.

We can come to see ourselves as a boat adrift, struggling with huge waves in the middle of a storm. Our natural reaction is to put all our energy into keeping our boat afloat to take care of our loved ones.

When we think that we must attend to all our concerns alone, we distract ourselves from an essential certainty: Christ is in each of our actions.

Assuming that we face our concerns in a solitary way prevents us from resting in the Love of Jesus.

Let us always keep in mind that Christ, with His infinite Goodness and Power, is always ready to shelter us from the whips of the storm.

Jesus blesses us with the necessary rest to start each day in a positive and uplifting way. His Eternal Wisdom affirms us in His Perfect Love.

"Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you," Exodus 23:25

The moment is propitious to congregate the family and communicate with our friends to pray together, to exchange experiences, and listen to what the other, through the Grace of God, has to tell us. In this way, we will see how we propitiate a wonderful circuit where we will be able to give relief to our brothers while they give us feelings of Peace that will calm our Spirit.

God teaches us that in His lap we can alleviate all calamities. Let us recognize that the Love of Christ is our unconditional ally.

In Him we trust and to Him, we surrender ourselves.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

Let us put all our efforts into not feeling fear, sustained by the Blessing of His Light that guides our steps in the darkest places.

When we recognize ourselves as children of God, we calm our Spirit, driving away harmful thoughts. The Lord's Word will lead us safely to the shore and Christ's example will become the joy of those around us.

Let us keep our Faith high and let us not lose sight of the fact that we are never alone as we walk together with our Heavenly Father.

Let us remember the words of Pope Francis: "May The Lord give all of us this grace to live in tension, but not because of nerves, problems, no: in tension because of the Holy Spirit who casts us towards the other shore and keeps us in hope."

Let us demonstrate with concrete actions that He has touched us in the depths of our Soul.
