One More Day the Sun Rises and an Adventure Begins

Cultivating Happiness through Solidarity and following the Example of Jesus. Explore the following article that will allow you to keep in mind the fundamental pillar to keep on standing in life.

"Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." Matthew 5:42

Life, with its constant hustle and bustle and daily challenges, often makes us forget a fundamental truth: happiness is intrinsically linked to the act of giving.

In this individualism-driven world, where we often focus on our own needs and desires, it is essential to remember the transformative power of solidarity and how this act can fill our lives with genuine and lasting joy.

A simple but revealing exercise is to try to remember the face of the last person you helped. If you can easily conjure up that image, you have experienced the joy that comes from the act of giving. But if you find it difficult or it's been a long time since you last helped someone, it's time to consider doing it again.

In the smile or relief of the one to whom we extend our helping hand, we find the reflection of the face of Jesus. It is in these moments of selfless generosity that we can truly feel His presence in our lives.

"And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday." Isaiah 58:10

Solidarity is not only an act of love towards our fellow human beings, but also a way to keep us on God's path.

In times of doubt and questioning, when our lives seem filled with uncertainty, the practice of solidarity reminds us that we are following the right path.

By reaching out to help others, we are responding to God's call to love our neighbors as ourselves.

The benefits of solidarity are manifold and encompass both the giver and the receiver. Helping others fosters the growth of our love for humanity and promotes empathy, an essential virtue that counteracts arrogance and selfishness, two obstacles on the spiritual path.

By putting ourselves in the other person's shoes, we understand their struggles and challenges, which allows us to be more compassionate and less prone to judgment.

"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38

In addition, being supportive lays the groundwork for the beneficiary of our help to, in turn, help others. This multiplier effect is a reminder that our actions speak louder than our words. Our acts of solidarity proclaim to the world, "Look how easy it is to help others - you can do it too!".

An inescapable truth is that, at some point, we will all need help. By showing solidarity today, we contribute to the creation of a world in which compassion and generosity are commonplace. When our hour of need comes, we can trust that someone will be there to extend a hand, because we have sown the seeds of solidarity in the fertile soil of humanity.

It is essential to remember that solidarity should not be a response based on self-interest. We should not be in solidarity just because we hope to receive help in the future, but because it is God's will that we love our brothers and sisters. Helping others is the most effective way to demonstrate this divine love in action.

When we help someone, we are fulfilling a greater purpose, one that is rooted in God's plan for our lives.

"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love." Galatians 5:13

Following the example of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can confidently affirm that we are on the right path. The Lord not only taught us with His words, but He backed up each teaching with selfless acts of love and solidarity. His life was a testimony of how love can transform the world. As followers of Christ, we are called to imitate Him in all aspects of our lives, including solidarity.

Let us remember how the Lord fed the hungry, healed the sick and comforted the afflicted. His compassion knew no bounds, and His love for humanity led Him to sacrifice Himself on the cross for our salvation. Let us follow His example with humility and gratitude in our hearts. In a world that often seems filled with division and hopelessness, solidarity is a beacon of divine light that can guide our way and bring hope and joy to those who need it most.

In this act of giving, we find true happiness, one that endures and shines like a star in the darkness.
