On the course of Faith

When you arrive in a new city, prepare a trip or simply want to go to a new destination, what do we always use? A map. A tool that became relevant in prehistoric times to remember places to go hunting and water recollection sectors. Today it has an instant value: it relaxes or calms us, as it gives us guidance. It helps us and allows us to reach our destination, orders our daily itinerary and allows us to organize the route to take.

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Psalms 9:9-10

Many times we will be able to make decisions without a map. We can get lost in the streets of a new location we have just moved to or the country we have recently arrived in. Just for the sake of having fun and getting to know that new place better. One day I came to understand that Faith is a map of our lives. We can move forward in our development without its guidance. We can get lost and have fun when this happens. But if we really want to reach our destination, that place we call "home" or want to relate to the Holy Spirit in a deeper way, we have no choice but to deepen our journey through the map of Faith.“

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18

How many times have we heard "I don't want to fall into a daily routine". Not every routine is tedious or heavy, when we think, for example, of the routine of having breakfast with our children. The routine of being able to go for a walk with our loved ones. Let us think in the same way about the routine of approaching our Lord through prayer. Praying in the morning, at night or whenever we need to, allows us to draw a direct connection to our Father.

Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:20-21

Taking care of our eyes so that they do not stray in temptation, conferring peace to our hearts, He will guide us through the stormy paths of the difficulties and stimuli that present themselves to us on a daily basis.

We will have to show Him all our spiritual, mental and emotional openness to His will, His character and all His power. This is partly what the desire to follow a path of light towards Jesus is all about. If we really dare to discover him, to plunge into the depths of our heart, to love him and obey his manifesto, then we will find a place of relief and trust at our Lord's side.

Today we can make that decision. To take a turn in our present course. Jesus is the only possible way, since he is the bridge that unites and leads us to the true refuge, to our God, the Heavenly Father

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Let us never lose our capacity to be amazed by the goodness and strength of Jesus. Like children who know the sea for the first time, their reactions and the reflection of their eyes teach us that this first memory will never be erased from their minds. It will be the same when we entrust our faith in The Lord
