Knowing the Truth of Love

The path to inner and spiritual healing is born in that loving feeling. Find out how you can get closer to the light in the following article.

"As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone." 1 Peter 2:4-7

In life, we all have an inherent need to produce and bond with others. As social beings, we seek to deepen our spirit and connect with the environment around us.

In this process, religion and faith can play a significant role.

However, we must remember that religion is not simply about balancing a scales of good works to compensate for our sins, nor is it about accumulating spiritual trophies. Instead, the wonderful thing about the relationship with Faith and the Holy Spirit is that each of us feels it in a unique way and it is God who will ultimately judge our feelings and His presence in our heart.

"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited."  Romans 12:16

In this sense, it is important to be prudent when engaging in conversation or dialogue with others. We must be willing to listen to the person who is questioning us and to interact in an articulate manner, following the grammatical rules of the country in which we live. Only in this way will we be able to understand, assimilate and associate the words we receive and utter.

It is important to keep in mind that there is a difference between being prudent and being sensible. A prudent person is one who speaks with care, fairness and caution, while someone who is wise acts rationally and is guided by common sense.

Both qualities are important and necessary in life, but in the Bible we are taught about those who represent both values in a more comprehensive way.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."  Deuteronomy 31:6

In life, we have the choice to follow or not to follow Jesus as God's son. Therefore, we can pose questions to the Holy Spirit to differentiate between wise and foolish people. Those who seek to be representatives of the Holy Spirit, attending Mass and appearing to be devout without deserving the mercy of our Heavenly Father, are foolish.

On the other hand, those prudent men and women who possess a true sense of Faith as followers of Jesus, listening to and putting into practice the Holy Word at all times in their life's journey, are wise.

Curious is the attitude of those who rejoice in feeling that they deserve special flattery for openly expressing their Faith. They are those who wish to obtain favors in the name of God and who believe that their dealings with the Heavenly Father are special.

"But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God." Nehemiah 9:31

We must be prudent with ourselves and our actions, making sure that we do not feed our ego in the wrong way.

Instead, we should seek to deepen our Faith in an authentic and true way, following the values and teachings of Jesus.

Faith can play a significant role in our lives as social beings. However, we must remember that it is not simply about balancing a scales of good works or accumulating spiritual trophies.

We must have clarity and seek to deepen our faith and that of our loved ones by connecting through love, respect and the necessary help for those in need.
