Increase Your Hope in a Few Steps

Just as our bodies need a variety of different vitamins and minerals to be balanced and strong, your heart and soul also require a healthy diet.

""If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes." Mark 9:23

Have you ever wondered why millions of people follow Jesus? What is it that they feel differently than I do? As Christians we understood God's message from the time we were little. In the bosom of our families they adopted it, opening their hearts to the Faith and working for Divine Justice that generates equity among people. It is a way of living, thinking and loving. You should not feel bad if you do not feel God in this way, if in your life the Faith has not yet penetrated and nourished your blood with its light. We can always meet Jesus again. In prayer, in the reading of the Bible or observing how other brothers and sisters of the Faith march in a procession.

“Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins." Psalm 25:16-18

There is no single way to approach Our Father. There is no recipe, nor is it an exclusive club. Quite the opposite. If there is something unique about the Holy Spirit, it is that He comes at the right time for each person who desires to make that turn in the Faith. There are no requirements to adopt this path, but there are obligations as a good Christian not to lose sight of our mission. The one that Jesus undertook on the Cross, with which he showed us all his goodness and love. The one that opened the gates of Heaven and led us to connect with God.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” Ecclesiastes 3:1

We must recognize the value we have as individuals. Being part of a family, a group of peers or colleagues. Being able to perform tasks or jobs. Or simply being able to realize ourselves as beings in the way that best suits us. These types of elements characterize us as people and give us the capacity for self-worth, fundamental and basic to feel a positive self-esteem. This sense of belonging deepens and strengthens even more when the people who adopt us or the circle where we develop generates joy and love. Let us imagine that we possess a new factor: Faith. Not belonging to this new world does not mean feeling like an outsider or a person at fault. It actually implies a whole world of blessings and opportunities that Our Father pours into each of His children. This is a distinctive feature, since from that moment on we have an inheritance and unlimited access to eternal life in Heaven.

”Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” Psalms 40:5

This individual openness to the Holy Spirit allows us to understand the sense of living in community. Likewise, the union that is built and generated among Christians is what is understood as communion. This synergy emanated by God the Father may surprise you if you are not yet part of the divine path. But for those of us who have been depositing our faith for a long time, without waiting for the Lord to give us a sign before acting, we understand clearly that we are taking steps to follow His will. This energy will open doors and opportunities when we least expect it and when we need it the most. If you feel that God has not surprised you lately, it is because you do not give yourself totally to faith to move forward with His plan.
