Building Up Our Spirits

Do you think your faith is strong today? Let me share this lines for you to take into account the importance of feeding our path.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

When we think that God has abandoned us. There are times when we face complicated situations in our lives, such as the loss of a loved one or a serious illness that afflicts someone close to us. It is common then that we think that God has abandoned us or that he does not have the time to attend to us, but keep in mind that none of this happens if we have a Faith strong enough.

“Precisely for that reason, strive to add to your faith virtue; to his virtue, understanding; to understanding, self-control; to self-control, constancy; to constancy, devotion to God; to devotion to God, brotherly affection; and to brotherly affection, love.” Peter 1:5-7

When we move away from the way of the Lord. At times we can feel that all aspects of our life are successful and that we should do nothing but relax and enjoy that success. But in reality, it is very easy for our Faith to weaken in such circumstances. Let us remember then that it is in those moments when we must strengthen our Faith even more so as not to fall into the carelessness of abandoning it .

“We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.” Galatians 2:15-16

When we don't practice prayer. It is well known that prayer is the food that makes our Faith grow. It is the glue that unites us more to God, making communication with Him more fluid and thus making our Faith grow. Let's incorporate the habit of daily prayer so that our Faith does not weaken.

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.” Romans 14:4

When we underestimate the power of God. Believing that the merits that we obtain throughout our lives are our own, will not lead us on the right track, since it is in this way that we leave aside the questions pertaining to the Lord and begin to believe ourselves omnipotent: Serious error. Everything that happens to us is through and for God's sake. Let us always keep this in mind so that our Faith does not diminish.
