Examples that inspire us to move forward

Sometimes a simple example can mobilize our ideas and thoughts. Discover in the following article some that will motivate you.

“And if it does not seem right to serve the Lord, choose today who you are to serve: yes to the gods who served your parents, who were on the other side of the river, or to the gods of the Amorites on whose land you dwell; but I and my house will serve the Lord.” Joshua  24:15

Live through His precepts. There is no way to be more sure of finding ourselves on the right path, than living under the standards that Christ lived, and I am not talking about wearing robes or walking barefooted through life, but about the examples we read in any book of the Bible, the one that compiles the way God intends for us to handle our lives.

“And Abram said to Lot: I beg you, there is no contest between us, or between my shepherds and your shepherds, because we are brothers. Is not all the earth in front of you? I beg you to separate from me: if you go to the left, I will go to the right; and if on the right, I will go on the left. ”Genesis  13:8-9

Repeat His message through your actions. Because we all know that it is very easy to fill our mouth speaking wonders of the Lord and all the works he has done, but they lose all their value if we do not accompany them with actions that support them. It is in these cases that the Lord prefers the silence of our lips and give place for our actions to speak for us.

“Moses listened to his father-in-law, and did everything he had said. And Moses chose capable men from all over Israel, and placed them as heads of the people, as chiefs of a thousand, one hundred, fifty and ten. ”Exodus  18:24-25

Give practical advice. And as an appendix to the previous point, we are referring to those moments when it is your turn to give advice so that others can overcome a bad moment, for example. We know that it is useless to give advice if you have not tried it on yourself, or if it has not had an effect on yourself. That is why it is much more effective to first see the results of what you will then put into words to others.

“Then Naomi said: Look, your sister-in-law has returned to her village and her gods; go back after your sister-in-law. But Ruth said: Do not insist that I leave you or stop following you; because wherever you go, I will go, and where you dwell, I will dwell. Your people will be my people, and your God my God. ”Ruth  1:15-16

Love. Because that is the final and most valuable message, since nothing else matters if there is no love. And I think it is worth remembering that it was nothing but love that led God to give the life of His only son for our salvation; it was nothing other than love that God had for us to decide to get rid of sin, and of course it is nothing but love that moves us day by day to fight for a happy world.
