Guiding Future Generations

Let us build a path to follow so that the blessings will be eternal. Explore in the following verses the way to reach the light of your inner being.

"But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." Joshua 22:5

Talking to new generations about God is not only a duty, but an opportunity to transform their lives through an understanding of Jesus as a role model.

Finding ways to bring young people closer to the word of the Lord may be easier than we think, especially when we begin to perceive God not only as a distant deity, but as a close and understandable figure.

One God, But One Person

From childhood, the image of God is often presented in a majestic and abstract way. Illustrations in Bibles and depictions in temples, while full of art, can be distant to new generations. Presenting God in a more human and accessible way is key to establishing a genuine connection with Christ.

This more earthly perspective can make it easier for young people to identify with and draw closer to the Lord's teaching.

"For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him." Genesis 18:19

A Born Leader

The number of followers Jesus had was not insignificant, and it is essential to remember who they were: mainly marginalized and impoverished people. Jesus led those whom society had forgotten, offering them hope and assuring them that they too had a place in God's kingdom.

Highlighting the inclusive nature and leadership of Jesus can motivate new generations to lead with compassion and love.

"And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,  and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?" Deuteronomy 10:12-13

A Person of Different Thinking

Jesus Christ was a revolutionary in the deepest sense. He challenged established dogmas and norms in an age of violence and oppression. His message of love and compassion contradicted the prevailing power values of the time.

By highlighting this revolutionary facet of Christ, we can inspire new generations to challenge injustice and embrace a path of love and solidarity.

"That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you." Deuteronomy 13:5

A Hero

Jesus not only preached with words, but also acted on His teachings, even when it meant risking His own life. This heroic act of giving Himself for the salvation of mankind reveals the greatness and courage of God. Presenting Jesus as a hero who sacrificed everything for love can highlight the depth of God's message.

Everything in Jesus' teaching boils down to love. His fundamental message is that nothing is possible without love. This message has endured throughout time and continues to circulate, reaching new generations.

Conveying this divine love is essential to guide young people on their spiritual journey and to make them understand that love is the foundation of the Christian faith. To teach the new generations to love as Jesus loved is to prepare the way for a future full of grace and compassion.
