Fear Does Not Control My Life

In some passages of our existence, we will find ourselves facing very important challenges. That negative energies do not let you progress will be a thing of the past. In the following lines, you can discover a map or guide that will help you to overcome them.

“But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.” James 3:14-15

If we think about it, it will be very easy to list a group of people we resent, hate, or simply label as enemies. It doesn't matter where or who it is. We can find ourselves in the context of family, work, or academic training where names and faces will quickly appear to which our thoughts direct only bad omens. That feeling, that negative emotion, is in our minds. It will depend on the time and energy we use to keep it fixed there, forging dissatisfaction. This resentment will feel heavier and heavier in our being, to the point that we will not be able to live in peace.

“See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” Hebrews 12:15

You're probably thinking by now that all those people we mentioned are there for a reason, right? They hurt us, they gave us some kind of unequal treatment or we felt a personal betrayal. These actions were done with a specific intention (directed towards us). At other times they were simply unintentional.

“…And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins…” Mark 11:25

It is time to stop and reflect and determine that these feelings are damaging our approach to forgiveness, resulting in a distancing from the Faith. This first step requires an opening of our hearts. By beginning to visualize the Holy Spirit through prayer, we can enter into a dialogue with God and understand the real reasons why we are standing in such a way before this brother or sister. Unlocking these emotions will be perceived as a blessing. Position our gaze through God's eyes, rather than through a negative emotional filter. If we fail to give forgiveness, we can never be forgiven.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:43-44

At our birth, God deposited in us an immense faith in the depths of our hearts. That seed was cultivated from the beginning to grow and develop in our whole being. Faith is nourished by our belief in the Heavenly Being, not by emotions or feelings. Faith is rooted in the Holy Spirit and for this reason, Our Savior blesses us with enlightenment in our life, when we forgive those who hurt us. We must increase our Faith as we encounter such challenges, as it will be our only containment against resentment.

If we can make the decision to say "I forgive you", we will be healing within ourselves. The person we forgive will feel mercy and a divine release, when The Lord restores peace between our bond of light and the person we forgive.

“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him, everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.” Acts 13:38-39

It is Jesus who will love you forever. It is our Lord who forgives and understands us. He is the only one who cares for you and embraces you in those moments of despair. He encourages you and pushes you forward. Transforming and cleansing our hearts.
