Humans are meant to be in community, to share, communicate and coexist with others. In this journey, faith and spirituality are fundamental to face the different situations that arise in life, both good and bad. In this article, we will talk about the importance of belonging to groups in spiritual life.

The Bible tells us that we should present our requests to God in every situation, by prayer and petition, and give thanks, and that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

It is essential to have friends, loved ones, and relatives who remind us of all the love we have close to our hearts. The presence of the Heavenly Father may be greater or lesser in these groups, but what is important is the union generated between love, respect, and faith.


"Then he took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, given for you; do this in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19

Jesus tells us that he took the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and told them that this bread is his body, given for them, and that they should do it in remembrance of him. Humans have evolved, acquiring different skills and abilities, thanks to the spiritual and healing guidance provided by God.

And added to our social nature, to the ability we have to find each other, communicate, share, and collaborate, we will be gestating unique links and relationships with relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Human beings are not born alone and isolated, we need, from the moment we are born, specific care and even contact, affection and love in order to survive. But it is also important to interact with our spirituality, our hope, proclaiming our Faith together with other human beings. In this interaction with other people, we acquire several lessons necessary for survival and our correct personal development.


"I, however, will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving. What I have vowed, I will make good. Salvation comes from the Lord." Jonah 2:9

Sacrifices and songs of gratitude will be offered, promises made will be fulfilled, and salvation comes from the Lord. To feel comfortable within a group, no matter how small and reduced it may be, we will have to participate actively.

In many ways, it always provides us with information about ourselves, by how we relate and reflect in others, as a mirror.

All the possibilities that God gives us to help these people we really care about will help us learn and understand who we are, how we love, what blocks we have to develop in ourselves, or try to overcome. It helps us understand why we make certain decisions and not others, and the influence that others have on our behavior.


"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." Colossians 3:16

The Word of Christ is a valuable tool to guide our lives and face daily challenges with wisdom and gratitude. Let us seek for the message of Christ to dwell in us richly and to teach and admonish one another with all wisdom.

Life can present us with many difficult situations that make us question our purpose and direction in life. It is in these moments that we must seek the guidance of the Word of God and allow Him to show us the way.

Through prayer and reading the Bible, we can find the strength and wisdom to overcome any obstacle that may arise.
