How to become a better person?

Having this manual of life constantly with us helps us understand how God and the Holy Spirit can always be present and guiding us along our path. These reasons will help you to travel on your path in Peace.

It teaches us to love

"Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; 5 it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;” 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

The same as God our Holy Father, who loves all His children equally and without judging.

So must we also do it, knowing that whatever we do on earth that is worthy of the love of the Lord, will be rewarded in heaven, when we obtain the prize of being beside Him for all eternity.

It teaches us to forgive

“He who forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter alienates a friend.” Proverbs 17:9

Because we know that many times, no matter how much love we can engender, it is very difficult for us to forgive, to put aside the ire that invades us and eats at us inside when someone offends us

The Holy Scriptures teach us to put aside our pride and maintain a sense of humility to get rid of all the negative feelings that are placed as a looming wall between our hearts and forgiveness.

It shows us the importance of putting into practice the teachings of the scripture.

“It was not because we have not that right, but to give you in our conduct an example to imitate.” 2 Thessalonians 3:9

Because while we are aware that reading the Holy Word nourishes our spirit, putting it into practice completes the task and strengthens our Faith, which is the fundamental pillar that allows us to remain on the Lord's path

Remember that there is no greater satisfaction than knowing that we are doing good, and if Jesus is our teacher, the price will be twice as rewarding: we will be worthy of His love.

It teaches us to be generous

"Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

What is the use of accumulating wealth if we do not have anyone to share it with? What kind of feeling do we get when we see our brothers with nothing while we have too much?

This little exercise mainly helps us to understand why the Holy Word tells us that we should be generous. It is because true wealth resides in spiritual things that last longer and are worth more than material things.

It teaches us to give thanks

“And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name; make known his deeds among the nations, proclaim that his name is exalted.” Isaiah 12:4

Being grateful is the first step we must take on God's path.Giving thanks at all times engenders a feeling of humility and an awareness of all that was given to us, and teaches us a lesson about the importance of thinking through what we will say when we ask for something, and helps us to only ask for what we need when we need it.
