Achieving the Impossible

Do you know the power that lives inside of your being? Enjoy this reading and know the healing power of our Heavenly Father right now.

“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

The practice of collective prayer is mainly used in those communities where it does not matter how many people are part of it, but rather the dynamic amongst each of them. The key actually resides in the collective conscience of a group of people united for the same good with the objective of creating change through Christ.

“You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name.” John 15:16

That is why it is important not to forget what prayer is about: aside from the fact that it is about something personal or collective, the purpose of prayer is to create a direct channel of communication with God, thereby improving our relationship and achieving greater trust, and as a result greater faith. Now let's think about the same thing but transported to a community of God's children asking for the same thing, having faith that the answers will come now because God is there: isn't it amazing?

“Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.” James 5:14-15

As God's good child, I am able to lend faith to the healing power of collective prayer and I am convinced that it is a practice that we must adopt in all communities, just so that we may be able to improve on that connection that should unite us at all times but which, for various reasons, is not achieved. I also believe that there is certain type of energy surrounding collective prayer that is contagious and that is one hundred percent positive, which allows it to spread all that is good if we want it to.

“Turn back, and say to Hezekiah prince of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of your ancestor David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; indeed, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.” Kings 20:5

But I also know that there is no prayer that is worthy of being as such: Gratitude to God for all the blessings we have received throughout our lives must be the main motive for our prayer, and ask Him for Holy intercession anyway on the matter that worries us at this time. Lets make the effort in those times when peace seems to reign, even if just for a little while.
