Breaking Down the Problem Inside

If we manage to displace that pain or inner discomfort, we will find peace and emotional balance. Browse through the following verses in order to heal your heart.

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24

We often find that resentment and hatred, like unwanted shadows, intertwine in our relationships. These negative emotions can be found in a variety of settings, whether in the family, work or academic environments. These darknesses of the mind, if allowed to take root, become a burden that prevents us from living in peace and harmony.

Perhaps as we mentally review our list of grievances, we realize that each name carries with it a history of wounds, inequalities or betrayals, whether intentional or unintentional. The challenge lies in stopping and reflecting on how these resentments hinder our ability to forgive and ultimately affect our connection to faith.

The opening of the heart, initiated through prayer, provides us with a space to understand, through the light of the Holy Spirit, the reasons behind these feelings.

"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." Hebrews 12:15

At birth, we have been given an intrinsic faith, rooted in the depths of our being. This divine seed is not nurtured by fleeting emotions, but by unwavering belief in the Heavenly Being. It is fundamental to understand that faith is anchored in the Holy Spirit, and it is this anchorage that gives us the capacity to forgive those who have hurt us.

Faith, then, stands as the compass that guides us on the journey to overcome the challenges and trials that life presents to us.

The conscious decision to utter the words "I forgive you" not only propels our inner healing, but also triggers a divine release. This act of forgiveness is not only a human gift, but an alignment with divine grace. Jesus, as the supreme example of love and mercy, will love us eternally.

"Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4

In those moments of despair, when the weight of bitterness seems unbearable, it is our Lord who cares for us, embraces us and encourages us to move forward. This divine love, penetrating our hearts, clears away the darkness of resentment, paving the way to a full life, marked by faith, compassion and the unfailing guidance of the Holy Spirit.

The essence of forgiveness is found in the realization that we are eternally loved by Jesus. Our Lord, in his magnanimity, forgives and understands us. In moments of despair, it is He who cares for us, embraces us and urges us on. This divine love transforms and purifies our hearts, enabling us to live in harmony with the principles taught by the Christian faith.

"But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic." James 3:14-15

The act of forgiveness is not only a human gesture, it is an alignment with the faith we carry ingrained from birth. Faith, that heavenly seed deposited in the depths of our being, is not nourished by emotions or feelings, but by an unwavering belief in the Heavenly Being.

Nurturing our faith is essential, especially at times when forgiveness presents itself as a challenge. The conscious decision to say "I forgive you" not only heals our inner wounds, but also unleashes a divine release that restores peace in our bonds.

In each "I forgive you," a door to inner healing opens. Mercy unfolds as a divine gift that, when accepted and shared, transforms not only our relationships with others, but also our connection with the divine. The light of forgiveness dispels the shadows of rancor, paving the way to a life filled with love, compassion and, above all, faith in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
