A New Path Begins: Verses that will illuminate this January

It is necessary to remain calm in order to have a more global view of our reality and recognize that in the most unfavorable times we overcome them together with God.

We have all experienced anxiety at difficult times in the past year. Let us remember that the Lord is with us with every step we take in this 2021.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

The ways in which the Lord helps us are many and varied. One of the most relevant is through the Holy Scriptures. When we read them, aware that it is the Word of the Eternal that speaks to us, we can find Wise teachings that will help us face the great problems of life: poverty, illness, or the death of someone we love.

There we understand that our Lord is Almighty and contains us by allowing us to think more clearly and lucidly, while at the same time he takes away the overwhelming feelings that invade us in the crucial instances that we must undertake. God assures us, without making distinctions between people, of His Infinite Love and Perfect Mercy.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

The peace and serenity with which the Lord blesses us is not a method of escape from problems and difficulties, but the strength and courage to face them wisely and calmly. That Peace can come to touch our Spirit in times of disorder and turbulence, filling the open spaces that need to be contained in our being. The Peace of Christ is Healing and Forgiveness and when it comes to us, it is what makes us do what we understand to be our calling.

That's why it's very important to control emotions and focus differently in the face of pain, based on our convictions, because when we give in completely to anguish, we limit our ability to reason and understand how we really are.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

Our Heavenly Father gives us everything we need to Resist and ultimately Overcome in times of adversity. His Word teaches us to use those tools to obtain that Victory that will restore calm to our existence. That's why it is fundamental to strengthen ourselves in the Lord, seeking Him in prayer, reading the Holy Scriptures, and listening to His Voice.

Let us not lose initiative and determination because we do not face the storms with our own strength alone, but use the tools that the Highest gives us to free ourselves from pain.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Let us always keep in mind that, in every battle, we must fight, God marches before us, fighting for and with us.

He never abandons and will never leave us alone whatever the circumstances.

He is our Strength at all times and we can trust that He will be guarding our hearts in the face of misfortune and adversity.

These experiences are part of the natural balance of life and no one is exempt from going through problematic situations that we must face based on our Faith in Christ the Redeemer.

It is also absolutely normal that in the face of the unexpected, we do not know very well what direction to take, or what attitude to adopt.

The confusion that pervades us can lead to states of sadness and depression. It is there that a question arises that we have probably all asked ourselves at some time: Where are you my Lord, now that I need you so much? This exclamation is born of the need to end what is taking away our sleep and taking away our Peace of Spirit.
