Improve Your Communication

Communication is the best way to address an issue. Let's learn the basics to take the first step in a pending conversation. Explore the following article and learn the best ways to improve your communication.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2

There are those who consider that communication is the best tool we have to make us understand. That is how various methods arise to make such communication more effective. But when we talk about God, nothing is what it seems or what we want: Each one manages his relationship with Christ in the way that best suits him, we just have to aim at the message.

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” Acts 4:31

Prayer is the traditional way we have to communicate with God, whether we do it out loud, whispering, or in perfect silence, speaking to him in our mind and from the heart. And it will be precisely in our hearts where God deposits his answers to our questions; his advice for our requests and his word of encouragement when in Him we seek refuge. Remember that only God has the power to enter our hearts and speak with us.

I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king.” Daniel 2:23

On the other hand, there are those who fervently believe that words, whether spoken or not, do nothing but hinder our activities and even more, distort the message causing us to deviate from the path that Christ marks us. That is why another unconventional way of communicating with God is through our actions, always keeping in mind that Jesus observes each of our steps.

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” Psalms 5:3

Forgiveness is another powerful tool that we have to be able to approach the Lord, demonstrating that as faithful his worthy children of his love, we will do everything possible to honor his word by forgiving those who offend us. It is only through genuine forgiveness that we approach God; only through sincere repentance do we reach the path of genuine forgiveness, thus carrying our message to God, telling him that we are worthy.

"Dear brother, I pray that you do well in all your affairs and enjoy good health, as well as prosper spiritually." 3 John 1:2

Good and fluid communication is often given by virtues that have little to do with that aspect, such as being the case of generosity. While we agree that such virtue faithfully represents the precepts and teachings of God, it often does not occur to us that it could well be an excellent channel for conversations with Christ. That is why it is important to remember each time that our virtue of generosity emerges, to keep in mind that God also observes us there, and we must seize that moment to converse with Him .

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.” John 17:24

But above all the ways we choose to communicate with Jesus, the most important of all is that this channel is in constant use, remembering that He is our all-terrain guide; our confidant and friend; our teacher and counselor; Our Father and friend. Just remember how valuable it is to feel His word within us; His faithful advice lighting our way when doubt invades us in such a way, that only His voice is the beacon that will indicate the direction to the mainland.
