5 Ways to Keep Your Heart Open in Life

Recognizing ourselves as sons and daughters of God gives us a gift that grows in our hearts. Let us maintain a motivated and active Spirit to put into practice what the Lord has directed us to do.

"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments." Deuteronomy 7:9

Surely, in some stretches of our lives, we will experience a certain "distance" in our relationship with the Lord. The demands and concerns that we face daily can distract us in such a way that we neglect our dialogue with God. When we lose fluidity in the bond that we have with our Heavenly Father, we see how, gradually, a strong feeling of confusion and overflow grows within us. We begin to overcome our daily vicissitudes. Doubts and confusion take over our actions and we are invaded by the feeling of having "lost the compass" of our lives.

However, in the few moments of harmony that we allow ourselves when we go through these types of instances, we must have the Wisdom to capitalize on those small temporal occasions and ask ourselves: What is happening to us, why don't we feel Peace in our Spirit?

It is the propitious opportunity to understand that God was always there to Guide, Strengthen, Comfort and Help us .

And the people said to Joshua, “We will serve the Lord our God and obey him.” Joshua 24:24

When we again feel the need to renew our covenant with the Highest, we must bear in mind that we cannot do it halfway. Let us keep in mind that it is a unique occasion to honor his Glory as we are once again reaffirming our Commitment to Service and Humility.

This decision will allow us to confirm that the Lord's Mercy is Powerful. By reestablishing our dialogue with The Eternal, we are strengthening the wonderful agreement of Love to which we have been called: Follow and Serve Christ.

The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord. Exodus 19:8

When was the last time we created a space of intimacy and began to remember all that the Lord has done for us? It is of utmost importance to maintain a constant and deep dialogue with God and to sustain the covenant of Love that we have with Him. That is why, even though the daily hustle and bustle are dizzying and we have the feeling that we lack the time, let us promote our encounter with Jesus in an unalterable way.

Our Heavenly Father has the Perfect Disposition to provide for us in need and to urge us to overcome the most difficult trances that we must face. When peace and balance are restored to our lives by the Lord, we know we can fully trust Him.

“And may your hearts be fully committed to the Lord our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time.” 1 Kings 8:61

Throughout our existence, we go through a range of moments that are different from each other. When we make the wonderful decision to walk with the Lord, we know that life translates into good and bad moments.

It is a natural balance for which we must be prepared, renewing our faith at every moment. It is certain that there will be instances where we will feel a kind of apathy in our relationship with Christ.

This "disconnection" can occur for a variety of reasons: financial problems, family disagreements, the loss of a loved one, just to name a few. Let us seek, then, the presence of The Eternal with Love, Faith, and Repentance. Let's use our experience as a testimony and recover the compassionate and fraternal look with our brothers, helping from the heart those who have lost their way so that they can be reunited with the Grace of the Lord.
